I recently became reacquainted with a Silvertip I once owned after trading one Tip for another   :)   I need some advice though for a string. It is a non-fastflight bow and I am looking for a string material that does not creep a ton and that will keep the BH within check after break in.

Just an incredible piece of Bacote!!

I have had limited experience with NON-FF bows so please chime in, thanks in advance.

CoilSpring

Gorgeous Bow, by the way.

Dacron/B50/B55/B500 are Non-fastflight.  They stretch and you have to twist them up occasionally even after break-in.  That's their disadvantage.  Note the BH your bow likes, mark it on your arrows and adjust when necessary.

The below will vary for some, but a guideline:

12 strand up to 45#
14 strand 45-55
16 strand 55-70
18 strand 70-85

Others please chime in...

"Oliver-Stacy" (Josh) made me a great B55 and I need to order another from him.

No magic bullet in this. You're limited to the three materials CoilSpring mentions.
I'd get in touch with Chad at Champion Custom Bowstrings to get his recommendation and have him build you a couple good strings for the bow.

Tie two birds together; though they have four wings, they can not fly.

The newer B-55 is OK for non-fastflight bows, its dacron but without all the creep, that's what I would use.

X2 for Oliverstacy strings

I like B-55 12 strand.Oliver stacy or champion bowstrings both make great strings with this material. The 12 strand B-55 I got from Champion bowstrings was perfect in every way!

This is an unpopular suggestion for some reason, but if you go with an endless string in one of the polyester materials you will cut out alot of the stretch and break in issues associated with the flemish strings.

I use one of Chad's B55 strings an my nonFF tip.

Depending on the bow weight I'd try either a 14 or 16 strand dacron endless loop.  They seem to have a little quicker feel when compared to a dacron flemish string but won't cause any stress issue to the tips.

Thanks fellas. I will contacting both Chad and Olivestacy. I'll try them both  :)
