After 9 years and many memories it is SOLD!  Have never enjoyed archery so much in my life as I now do with my longbow.  I will never go back.  I am confident for this season and can't wait to arrow my first whitetail with it.  Thanks for all the tips and help everyone.  This website is PRICELESS!!!!!!!

Nice!!!

I've got one sold and 4 to go.  Best time of the year to sell.  It's time to get started practicing for hunting right? HAHA

SO true!!! When I first switched back in 2000, I thought I was the only trad shooter in Barry County, LOL!     :bigsmyl:

Thats great. You will enjoy your self a lot more. When I got my first trad bow I still had my compound. I would shoot the trad all summer and when season got here I would returned to the compound that I was confident with. Finally sold it and forced my self to use my recurve during season, and never was happier.

Must be something blowing in the wind or in the water. I've slowly been getting rid of wheelies and getting more sticks and strings. I'm down to my last wheelie and now it's sold! This sell will definitly help towards my next bow, whatever it may be   :bigsmyl:

Sold both of mine 5 years ago and bought my Robertson.  Finally, after years of losing peeps, finding sight pins broken, screws loose or missing, quivers falling off ..... I'm having FUN again!   :D

I guess I have been lucky to start with trad equipment.  Every time one of my buddies ask me to hold his compound at the range I am reminded of what a pleasure my bows are to carry in the woods.

Congrats. I still have my wheelie bow but it's been collecting dust for about 4 years now.

I had some great hunts with it, but this trad thing has got me hooked. Never had more fun hunting, and shooting as I am having now.

Last year was my first year hunting with a recurve.  Met a fine man last summer who gave me a 53# Red Wing Hunter from the early 60s and a 70# Super Kodaik from '69 after he found out I was interested in traditional archery and refused to accept any payment.  I hunted with both the RWH and my compound last year.  I sold my compound two weeks ago.  I noticed that I always had fun shooting the recurve while the compound was almost like a chore:  Trying to keep everything tuned, focusing on peep/pin/target alignment, release getting in the way between shots, etc.

I haven't killed anything yet with the recurve, but so far I have no regrets.

You will get a lot more support and positive encouragement here than you will from Bowdeadly on that other site that you announced your good news on.   ;)
