Its coming folks, my neck is starting to swell and that smell of Autumn is in the air. I was fortunate to do a looooot of fishing this year but Im ready to get back in the woods.

Feel free use this thread to post pics of this years gear, trail cam pics, scouting photos, or just any scouting observations you want to share. If any bucks in the 130" class and above are located please discreetly pm me their gps coordinates and when your stands will be unoccupied.

Good luck to the folks still on the quest for #1 and it sure would be great to see your journey unfold here.   :campfire:

Leaves are already changing here but due to stress. We got a good storm last night so hopefully that will help matters. Trees are producing better then the last time I went scouting. My buddies are still crying theres no deer guess will have to show them on the 1st!

It'll be different being able to hunt on Oct. 1. I guess the best strategie will be food sources. We don't have hardly any wild apples this year but I did find a cluster of three trees that are loaded. I'll be on them the afternoon of the first day. Good luck everyone!

Joe, I am from Orange County which is the SE portion of the state. I asked because I have a Stinger STDL longBow which I got this year and I love it. I like it so much I'm going to order another from Rick. The one I have is cocobola riser and zebra facing on the limbs. I like the look of the elm. Maybe thats what I will order with maybe Bacote riser, Thanks again and good shooting to you.....Andre

Watched a couple decent bucks sparring a little in a field the other morning. If THAT doesn't get you going......

OK-- here's a question. Just received my "Super Sportsman" License in the mail. In prior years, I have received both an "antlerless bow/muz" tag and an "either sex bow/muz" tag, plus a regular season buck tag and a DMP if drawn. This year, no "antlerless bow/muz tag". Anybody know why?

Just answered my own question. Called the DEC and there was a computer glitch on the first 2 days of license sales. They are correcting and will send along another tag to all who didn't get one. So, if you bought your license on last Monday or Tuesday online, look for the tag to arrive in a week or two.

The cool air this AM, shooting some 3-D in the woods this weekend, and now reading the threads on here has the pulse quickening.
