Watco Lacquer??? Or other options for arrow finish?

Guys,

Did a search and havent come up with much.  I am on a quest to find an arrow finish that doesnt yellow like poly does over time.  This morning I tried brushing a little watco lacquer over white rust-oleom and the white blistered right a way.

So does anybody have and recommendation on a clear finish or a paint that is compatible with big box lacquer.  Or maybe even a different technique that will help?

Just to nip this in the bud, I am a small timer and am trying to find readily available products which does not seem to include daly's profin or any of the bohning suite of products.  I am sure they are great but spending all that money on shipping when I cant use stuff up before it ruins just seems like a waste and if that is the case I might just have to deal with a little bit of yellowing over my white cap dip.

Thanks in advance

Caleb

Do you have a wood workers store in the area you live in? If so maybe you could ask them for advise. I would also suggest you keep the paint and clear finishes the same base product like Laq., mineral spirits , acetone. Even if they clean up with the same products that doesn't mean they are comparable.
As for water based products my jury is still out on the yellowing issue. I have only used water based clear over stain not paint.
