Pete McMiller offered up an apple pie for the St Jude's Auction and it sounded like a gourmet delight.  I noticed that Pete lived near Madison, Wisconsin and since I was planning to head up that way for my wife's family reunion I thought I would see if we could arrange a transfer.

Last Thursday, Pete met my family near the Madison airport and this is what we picked up!

This apple pie made me the favored in-law of the weekend and banked some much needed points in my account.

I also managed to meet up with Whip, BowHuntingFool, Greg Szalewski and several other tradgangers at the Ojibwa shoot in New Berlin.

Tradgang contacts certainly made my trip an enjoyable one.

Thanks!

I wouldn't be surprised to see Ron LaClair show up here shortly. Apple pie is to Ron as is a bear bait to a hungry bear.    :p

I would forgo the ice cream and slap a big chunk of Wisconsin Cheddar on top.  As my grandmother use to say; "Apple pie without cheese is like a kiss without a squeeze."

I was bidding on that pie, and got outdone by Gregg.  When I met up with him at Ojibwa the first thing he did is hand me the EMPTY pie tin to deliver back to Pete.  Not even a crumb or a sticky spot in the crease to lick.
And now I have to  see pictures of it.  With ice cream!
Oh the cruelty!!

Too funny, Charlie!  Look close and you might see the edge of a plate of brats that were served with the beverage in round one!

You're very welcome Gregg, glad you enjoyed it - I'm sure Mom is smiling down on us.  That you made points with your inlaws is a welcome bonus.

Sorry I couldn't shoot with you on Sunday, maybe next time.
