Where can I find some heavy inserts for 2219 arrows?  

I'd really prefer 100gr but could work with anything in the 100-150gr range.  I'd like my next set of arrows to be a bit heavier for my 50lb longbow and the calculator by Stu Miller indicates that with a 30.9" 2219 arrow and 100gr inserts, I can get the spine matched perfectly to my bow.

I just use 250gr field points they cost the same as any other weight, without the additional cost of inserts.

For broadheads use glue-ons with adapters and mix and match to get the desired weight.

can always go to larger broadhead...a Grizzly or some other with 190-200gr+ size

I've got about $150 in 125gr small game heads, Judo points, broad heads, and screw in rubber blunts that I'd like to keep using.  

I just want to build a heavier arrow for my next batch of arrows to get better penetration on medium sized game at shorter ranges.  If

I can't find a combination of components that will work well then I'll stick with the same build that I currently use as it works fine as it is.  

I'd like to stick with aluminum shafting as well.  I don't trust carbon after seeing photos of splintered shafts through peoples arms and don't want to deal with the hassles of wood arrows.  For my uses, aluminum shafting seems to offer the best blend of convenience, durability, and pricing.

They do make a brass insert for 2117's and my calculations say the ID on the 2219 is only .01" larger.You might order a dozen and send them back if you think they won't work-3Rivers.

You could also possibly put a Woody Weight in your broadhead,then an adapter.75 gr Woody Weight plus aluminum adapter or 75 gr steel?

.........or wrap the last half of the insert with plumbers tape for tight fit, and heavy-glue the front half.

There have been quite a few posts recently about tapping the regular insert 8x32 all the way through, then just screwing in 8x32 screws with the heads cut off into the back of the insert. Trim the length to get the total you want.

I'll try this and see if that'll get tight enough for a snug fit with some nice strong adhesive.

That's a good idea as well
