This is probably rhetorical, but I'd like to get some feedback.  

Full length Beman MFX 400's, 150grain heads, 475grains total arrow weight - 182fps

Full Length Beman Bowhunter ICS 400's, 125grain heads, 425grains total arrow weight - 193fps

Both of these arrows tune very nicely out of my 58" St Joe River Recurve 50@28".  I'm about 90% positive that I'm going with the MFX for the extra weight and narrower profile, but I'm just curious if anyone things that extra 10-11fps inside 20yds would be of any benefit.

I would go with the MFX 400's as well, mostly because they fly so well out of all my bows. I also like the increased weight.

I would go with the MFX 400's as well, they have more momentum (lb.ft.-sec) than the ICS 400's by over 5%.  More momentum means more penetration.  Out to 20 yards you should not notice much difference in  trajectory! IMHO

Are both the heads the same profile?..or really similar?

I imagine you'll get a lot of " you need a heavier arrow" replies.

I'm curious how it'll work out on the animal.
Personally I'm trying 450grains@180 on deer this year.

I would go with the MFX classic and I would add some weed eater line in the shaft to get your arrow weight up 50-60gr, at 20 yards your not going to lose any trajectory.

Congrats on the draw.  I would go with the heavier arrow.  Maybe even experiment and use the hit insert and make even heavier. JMO, enjoy the planning ahead of the hunt.

I would go with the heavier arrow and even then I would be trying to find a way to make it atleast 550 grains.

I would go with the MFX as well, but its splitting hairs.  I doubt performance on game would be effected much.  But, since you are moving the MFX along at decent speed already, you have a plenty flat trajectory for the ranges most folks are hunting at and weight is a good thing as long as it isn't slowing it down to where placement suffers.  I like shooting around 175fps, so I would be doing something like Tater suggested if it were my set-up.

I can up the point weight to 175 and drop the brace down 1/8" and get good broadhead flight at 174fps with the MFX.

These are not the classics.  The profile on the broadheads I'm using is...Hmm...hard to describe.  Using 150grain Eichler Phantoms on the MFX and 125grain magnus snuffers on the ICS.

With the B-heads you chose I'd go with the heavier arrow with the eichler tips.

I admittedly don't have experience with elk.
But I was a little bit worried about your lighter arrow.

I think, THINK, you might be pushing the envelope using a 425 grain arrow with a snuffer..they're kinda big.
Maybe take the bleeders out of the eichler to get them to 125 and put em on the lighter arrow if you really want the speed..?

I'd still like to use the heavier shaft with the 4 blade eichler if those were my 2 choices.

I would get them a bit heavier. I am also hunting elk for the first time this year, my 51# Tanjavur or Shrew (taking both) are shooting arrows at 610 grains.

If you truly want to use those lighter arrows I would get a solid 2 blade single bevel head. You might look at trying Eclipse's new Werewolf head.
