Hey y'all,

I've been playing around with the brace height and nocking point on my 66" toelke whip. 40#@30"(my draw). I'm shooting full length Trad Only 600s with 250 grn tips and 4" parabolic feathers.

Any recommendations? What do you have your whips at?

Thanks

TxAg

I just bought a 66" Whip and have been tinkering with it. I've settled at 7 3/8" brace and 9/16" nock height.  I'm shooting split finger, using two nock points, and pulling 45.5" at 29"

I can shoot 500s or 400s out of it depnding on the overall combo. I've been shooting Whips a while now if you need any other suggestions. I'm certainly no expert, though

I go a little less on the brace than TxAG and use 7-7.25.
I nock above my nockset and use 1/4 above level.
I haven't found these Whips to be very finicky at all.
I had a really good group going... until I shot the second arrow.

My best bows are the ones someone else didn't want.

Thanks guys,

So far my tinkering has shown the bow to be pretty forgiving with brace height differences.

I forgot to mention I shoot split finger and nock below a tie-on nocking point.

I am trying to get everything dialed in to hopefully hunt pigs with this bow in a month or so.

Lefty is right. All the Whips I've owned wern't too fickle.  On my shorter ones I'm at 7 1/4" brace and 1/2" nock

I'll post some pics once my girlfriend gets back from visiting family with the camera...

Right now I'm at 7.5" for brace height and 1/2" for nocking point.

How's itshooting with those measurements?

FarmerMarley

It's shooting pretty good right now. I just shot a couple rounds with bareshafts this morning at 20 yds. Bareshafts were flying right in there with the fletched arrows.

Main thing I need to work on is refining my form a little more. I can tell on the misses that it's a breakdown in form more than equipment. I have been trying to incorporate more of a continuos back tension through the shot and it is working wonders but I am still trying to get it ingrained into my muscle memory.

If anything I might raise the brace height very slightly, but it is already pretty damned quiet! I need to get everything dialed in for hopefully hunting pigs this summer.

TxAg

Sounds good. I found lowering the brace height to help with noise. I definitely know what you mean about back tension and shooting form
