I had a dual shelf bow made this past year. Been shooting both hands since the end of winter. Think I'll be ready for a shot at a deer by hunting season.
I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

I'm RH but Left eye dominant as well. I shot RH for 28 years and have shot LH since 1996. I can shoot RH but I don't any longer.

Shoot both ways. Started shooting Right Hand a few years back to try more bows.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways-BOW in one hand-ARROWS in the other-Body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming-WOO HOO! WHAT A RIDE!

I have been teaching myself to shoot right handed lately.  I'm a lefty, but being a lefty in a righty world means you're pretty close to ambi anyway.  I've gotten fairly decent out to twelve yards or so.  I wouldn't try a shot at a game animal right handed yet, but I expect by the time the season rolls around I'll be competant at short ranges if I get the chance.  My next couple selfbows I'm working on will be either dual shelved or shot off the knuckle.
Silence is golden.

shooting lefty and righty for the past 35 years..when I started at age 6 I didnt know better as I had no one to learn from..didnt know I was left eyed dominant but by the time I was 20years old  I can shoot both hands equally well but I choose to shoot lefty as injurys more or less determine that now days..but ocassionaly I will pull out a righty and shoot..just practice and after awhile it would become second nature

I shoot both rh & lh, I am rh eye dominate and am more comfortable rh but I shoot lh almost as well just feels a little awakward. I just had Steve Turay build me a dual shelf Ottawa which I love. Like Bladepeek I will shoot a dozen rh then switch up and shoot a dozen lh.
For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.

Outside of the bows I teach with I usually stick with my right handed gear but I do wish I had a hunting bow that was a dual & I had become more proficient with it.

I hunt righty only as I'm most confident that way, but switch back and forth when practicing.  A dual shelf bow may be in my future!

I can shoot either way, what I found surprising is that you have to HUNT right or left handed. Meaning than your stands and blinds don't always work for left handed shooting and vice versa. I had to redo some stands and set up "across the trail" or around the other side of trees. Once I got that figured tho, it's nice to be able to do either.

I agree.  I'm left handed and while I could probably shoot right handed and hit a barn from the inside, I'm not sure which wall it would be!

JPE

I can miss equally with either hand.

In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

i shoot both sides, I started because of a finger injury. Went back to right hand heavy bows and quickly heated up a joint on a different finger, so for now again I am back to being mostly left handed.  The switching was nothing for me, since I am ambidextrous and do not have a dominant eye. however, with two identical bows I have a half inch longer draw right handed than left handed, so somewhere somehow I am not quite the same size left versus right.

I shoot both and would like to get one bow that I could shoot both off of.
