Going to crash for a few hours then hitting the road!  Can't wait to hit the hills and see if we can find a hog.

Lots of luck. Some real fine hogs in Calif. One of the few things in miss about home.

One of my favorite hunts.  Northern California is rugged and I like the climate a lot better than most other hog hunting areas too.  Good luck!

Just pulled into the Hotel, not ruffing it on this hunt lol.  We start hunting in the morning, can't wait this is the first try for the girlfriend on big game (she is rifle hunting) but my recurve is ready to go though.

Yes got the camera ready and the video camera as well.  This ranch also has exotic sheep so will see what happens.  Not the normal back country hunt I'm use to but fun and relaxing so far.

End of the first day.  I shot one hog and the girlfriend shot one hog and a nice ram.  The hunt was ok, good warm up for the girlfriend. Here is the hog I got at 15 yards with my 50lbs SKY/3 rivers Dalaa  not sure whats wrong with it but it had no hair on it, only one in the group like it.

Neat looking hog and a great photo, congrats. Looks like a babirusa type critter minus the tusks.

It looks more farm raised then feral   :bigsmyl:  seen a few like that at the county fair

Nice shooting, perfect meat pig!  I'm curious, where in California?  Doesn't look like any wild hog I've shot.

I've heard it takes less than a year for a domestic hog to turn feral; grow hair, shortened snout, shortened tail, and longer, narrower head.  You've got a very cool looking pig there.
