string length for 66" bow

hoyt excel 21" long sabastian limbs 66" bow what would be good length to start with  fm

Assuming AMO; string is 3" shorter for LB 4" shorter for RC.

Depends on brace height you want but a 62.5" string on that setup should be in the area of 7.25"- 7.5" brace

For the record, AMO states 3" shorter regardless of what type bow it is.  It's actually stated that the bow is to be marked 3" longer than the "string master" (steel cable) that puts it at proper brace.

That being said, some bows go by AMO, some don't.  Bow design, string material, shooter preferance, etc. all play a part.

62.5" would be a good starting point, if you don't have a string that fits that you can measure.
