Tell me in your opinion what is the best Static Tip Recurve.

I like my Stalker Static Tip limbs by South Cox. Very smooth, quiet, excellent workmanship. Fairly short delivery time, great bowyer/person to work with.

I have shot a Dryad ILF system,an RER Arroyo, and I currently own a Chastain Wapiti. For me the RER,and the Dryad were faster than the Wap' but that Wapiti is such a smooth drawing/shooting bow that just loves a heavy arrow. It is my favorite thus far. rat'

I had a RER for 5-6 years and it was excellent. I now have a 17" Zipper ILF that I got a set of Dryad Static tip recurve limbs for that are even better, smooth ,silent and darn quick for the poundage. I just sold the RER. I'd like to try one by South Cox sometime also a  Jack Kemph. I had one of Jacks bow but it was not a Static tip.

I have an awesome Pouland. Cross between a Kempf Static tip recurve and a Saluki!  I will post some pictures.

RER Hands Down!

The XR is Supurb - Kevin really has the static design nailed down.

Would love to try the Dryad and Stalker statics...had an Orion static once and it was very fast!

No disrespect to oher Bowyers but, the late John Fazio made the most awesome Static Tipped bows.

The Ballistic Static Tipped Recurve produced an honest 215 FPS with a 10 GPP arrow.

I can't wait to see the pics you have of the Pouland Matt. You really have some cool bows between the Saluki's, Harrisons, etc.

I have an RER, Kwyk Styk, and Talon II.  I love all three, and most likely won't part with any.  If I had to choose, the Talon II edges each in every category.  It likes a shorter brace height giving it a longer power stroke, and is more quiet.  My RER and Kwyk Styk like brace heights between 7 3/4 and 8".  The Talon II, for me, is at 7 1/4" (which is actually the upper end of brace height recommendation).
Ultimately, it seems to be quicker, more quiet, and draws as smooth as any bow you'll find.  And the fit/finish of the bow is unsurpassed.  I love my RER and Kwyk Styk, but the Talon II, in my opinion, slightly edges them out.

Here is my Pouland. I got it for my Son. Too, light for me.

60" 49# at 28". I will have it in the classifieds Sunday night.

It is a cross between a Saluki and a Kempf. At 49#, the static tips fire and arrow like a 60# regular tip. I ain't kidding!

The RER static tip that I just picked up last night, and which is my only static tip so far obviously has to be my favorite   :D

Matt, you have mail.  :-)

I'm hoping to be shooting that pouland soon, gorgeous bow...

On the flip side, the best I have shot to date is my saluki Ibex, 67@28 drawn just short of 30".  That my friends is an awesome bow.  My dad said its the only one of my bows he's shot that made him consider taking of the training wheels.  It is my all time 'wish I hadn't sold it" bow.   :banghead:

My sovereign ballistik by John Fazio is the best I've ever shot.  Don't know who could match it.

I shot only one: The Talon II. All I can say it was an impressive bow. Very fast, smooth and precise. I was shooting tight groups with it as if I had been shooting this bow for years!
It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that string! [/i]

Nope, he is retired and makes a few Hill Style bows a year. Sells them to local folks where he lives.

At my full draw the bow is close to 66# and my release is rather clean, but yes it is really a fast bow for a glass bow. The fastest fiberglass bow i measured, and silencers-on & braced for hunting @ 8 1/8" !!
