Whats in a name? Not much when they shoot as good as this old girl. Picked this bow up in a trade sometime ago, no names, no markings, nothing, its 70" 65-70 lbs ( havent put it on a scale yet) judging by my other bows and an awesome shooter! Black glass both sides, im guessing osage limbs and very narrow shelf, straight grip, straight limbs and loves 55-60 spine cedar.   [/IMG]
Anybody else ever find a no name or lesser known bow that just far exceeds your expectations?

Caughtandhobble

Looks like you have a sweet shooter there.

I love my Journeyman. The Journeyman bows simply aren't famous yet, I have a feeling that they will be sooner than later.

Keep up the great shooting!!!!

I found a bow at an auction. never heard of it before. But boy does it perform. It was made by a guy in WI who by the sound of it, doesn't make many if any anymore.
Relax,

Two of the best shooting recurves I have owned were made by a little known (except maybe in Missouri trad circles) bowyer named Mike Sullivan. Smooth as can be ........2 1/2 PPI. And, although I never owned any, his longbows are even better! Workmanship par excellance  :clapper:
Hmmmmm. I know you think you understand what you thought I said, but I'm
not sure that what you heard is what I actually meant!

Trad is 60% mental & about 40% mental.

A bow that shoots that well only needs a nickname...SWEETIE.

Ive done some research and tried to nail down a maker based on looks and design, but no luck.
Really doesnt matter though, she looks good, shoots true, and sends a shaft where your looking, cant ask for more than that.   :bigsmyl:

I purchased a used recurve a few years back that only has the weight at length written on it.  No idea who made it but I love to shoot it.
