What a good day. This is certainly my favorite celebration of the year and I dont ask for anything special from the boys, just time. This morning Noah, Nate and I took a run up to Moose River Plains Rec Area in the Adirondacks with no real agenda other than quality time together. We had longbows, fishing gear and a pellet gun with us. Checked out some camps for sale, shot some stumps, caught some brook trout, lit a fire and cooked em and did a bunch of exploring (scouting). Nate found fools gold in the river that thrilled the pants off him. We saw a couple hen turkeys with new born poults, a bunch of grouse, one mama with mess of chicks dusting on a road bank. To me this is good as it gets and I hope yall have as good a day tomorrow. Ill be working so today was my day.

Happy fathers day!

I got to take my youngest to the Coon Rapids shoot (60 Reinharts) and shoot a new set of Predator limbs I was blessed with this morning. I am lucky to have a shoot in town every fathers day.

Hope the rest of you had fun with family as well today!

Izzy

Charlie, what do you mean I dont keep any trout? Thats pure silliness,  I keep whatever I can catch or kill when Im hungry. This was a "Mens" outing and when my men need feeding dads gonna feed em. All boys should learn how to cook a trout over a fire.   :knothead:

Rick Butler

That sounds lika great time Izzy. Sean and I did our annual Fathers Day weekend at Comptons.
