I've made plenty of wood arrows over the years. The last few years I have not made as many because I was shooting carbon. I am now back to making wood shafts that I intend to hunt with this fall. I tried Pro-fin for sealer after hearing so many good things about it and it is amazing. Perfect consistency out of the can. No bubbles and the bubbles dissapate after less than a minute from dumping it in the dip tube. The finish is beautiful and durable and comes out perfect Everytime. Im done with water based sealers. Thanks to those who recommended it.

The dried finish is very flexible, too.  I had some "skin up" on the dip tube lid.  I let the lid dry for several weeks after cleaning out my tube and then commenced to peeling the "skin" of Pro Fin from the lid.  I was really impressed with the way I could bend and fold it with no cracking.  

I have only ever used Pro Fin for arrow finish and it has held up to almost daily shooting, shots through different target materials, sage brush and dirt.  Glad you like it, Jon.  It will serve you well for many years.

Welcome to, " Club Snag ", come on in the water is fine ! I cringed a little when I had to pay $34 a quart for Dalys including the hazmat but worth every penny. Next quart will be gloss instead of satin. I will scuff the last coat to cut down on too much shine for huntin arrows. Thanks again Snag for turning us on to a great product.

Is it compatible with duco?

rraming. Yes it works with duco. This stuff is the best I have ever used. Try it. You will like it. I'm getting ready to order gallons of it.

Yep ! Duco will melt down into the Dalys and makes your glue line almost invisible.

Works with fletch tape too by the way.

How about Fletch Tite?

I got lucky, there is a dealer two miles from my house; hopefully they have some in stock tomorrow.

Walt, Fletch Tite doesn't work with ProFin. At least the testing I did with it didn't hold.

Guys I used fletch tite platinum and it seems to be holding fine

But I've only fletched one arrow so far.

I've used fletch tite platimum on it and it seemed to take a long time to dry and I don't think it bonded in the same way Duco does. I use Duco with Profin and save my platinum for fletch lac. Isn't it lovely to not lose a day waiting for bubbles to clear?

Okay, then Duco it is.  Anybody have suggestions on how to get fine glue lines form the Duco tubes?  That is why I use fletch tite platimum.  I rarely build arrows, so buying much more then the little tubes are a waste of money; most of them go bad before they are half used.

Walt  just empty a tube into a bottle with a small tip. Works great.

Kustom King has some small bottles for Fletch Tite Platinum, should work with duco. Duco tubes are sensitive to pressure, which keeps it flowing. Two types of bottles and one with tips.
