A guy I know at the range had one for sale for $350. I don`t really care for recurves at this point, but figured $350 was a good price and asked him to bring it down so I could test fire it. Anyway,,the bow had a lot of vibration after the arrow was gone. This was with the dacron string..so we changed the brace height all over the map,but it didn`t seem to do much. We then changed to a Fastflite, and we had pretty much the same results.. Are these bows normally like this,,or is odd for it?

Is this a Martin dreamcatcher?

I have a Hunter - the Dreamcatcher is like the hot, supermodel older sister of my bow. I get no vibration after the shot, even without silencers. Doesn't seem right.

Dreamcatchers are normally very well made and dependable shooters.  I have never shot one that had the issue you are describing.

Try some heavier mass weight arrows maybe.

Yes,,we had the specs, but no matter where it was,,we could not get rid of that wobbly vibration.

I have a Dreamcatcher and would recommend using a skinny string from one of TradGang's sponsor list.  I use a SBD 8-strand on mine.  I don't shoot mine much anymore, but when I do it is quiet and vibration free.  I also shoot heavier arrows.

Try some arrows in the 10-12 GPP (grains per pound) range.

I set the brace on my Dream Catcher at 8 1/2". I certainly don't experience the vibration you are speaking of. And I use a dacron string as well. I'd agree with the heavier arrow idea.

Blackstick

I've never noticed any vibration with mine, it has an 8" BH and a B-50 string.

awbowman

I've shot a dreamcatcher and nothing like you described.
62" Super D, 47#s @ 25-1/2"
58" TS Mag, 53#s @ 26"
56" Bighorn, 46#s @ 26.5"

Achilles1

My 1st Dreamcatcher.
Smooth, fast, solid, quiet.
60" #55@28". If your'e a recurve-shooter,
all you could want.

Stumpkiller

Love my Dreamcatcher.  I got a 55#er the first year they came out.  Mine has B-50 Flemish string with 2-1/2" wool puffs and, shooting 600 grain arrows, is quiet and very smooth.

Is the dream catcher still being made?
An archer tries to find ways to shoot further more accurately, a bowhunter tries to get as close as possible to ensure his shot is accurate.

The years accumulate on old friendships like tree rings, during which time a kind of unspoken care and loyalty accrue between men.

There are too many good used bows around right now to mess around with one that may have some issues

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42
