Hand crocheted, wool stocking cap when actually hunting. Anything with a bill, except the hats made ny the Alabama Hat Lady, have proved to be problematic.

A baseball camo hat. Used to wear the Jone's style hats. Still would if I could find them. My last one blew off my head going across Sowden Lake Ont. I had some bowhunter pins on it...sank like a rock !

Igor

Wool Fedora or a boonie depending on the conditions.....

I made a Terry style salad hat but I'm not going to show it until it gets blooded. I also have a campaign hat with the brim bent up for string clearance and a redtail hawk feather in the band and a leather stampede string. I'm told I look a few degrees south of sophisticated in it.    :goldtooth:

Don't wear one. In cold weather use a hood from a jacket. I warm weather use a camo or black head band. never could wear any headgear.

Bosalino Traveler or Stetson fedoras for the most part. Wool watch caps if really cold.

I like the Art Young hat from 3R. when the weather is cool. I use the Asat Leafy head mask with the little cloth bill a lot also.

My hats are on the large side so I can slip a wool beanie on when it's cold and still get it over my head.

Not necessarily my favorite, but I found an old camo beret-style hat that works great until I need something that covers my ears.  The top of it can be moved around to provide just the right shade in the sun, but if the bowstring hits it, it is so soft that it buckles under the string and I don't even realize it.
Life is a whole lot easier when you just plow around the stump.
