I have a chunk of pure bee's wax.  Any suggestions on what to mix with it to make string wax?  I have heard of using a toilet bowl wax ring.  Any others?

I pound of bees wax and one toilet bowl ring makes perfect string wax. I made some a while back and found with this recipe one has a lifetime supply of string wax with one batch.

BTW folks, Hobby Lobby has pure bees wax cakes.

If you buy beeswax from one of the big craft stores wait until they put one of those 50% off one item coupons in the paper. That $12 a pound wax becomes $6 a pound, much more reasonable.

you can mix parrifin oil or just leave it like it is. works any way.

I mix mine with some Textite string wax so it is easier to apply about 1 part textite to 3 parts bees wax and some pine sap to give it more grip about 1 part sap to 8 parts wax and textite. The sap and bees wax also smell good.

That toilet bowl wax worked great, but now my toilet leaks all over the floor!
