I have shot it numerous times. I really like it for an aggressive r/d bow. Absolutly nothing wrong with it in my book. I wanted a longbow the looked more like the longbows from the old days honestly is the only reason I never bought one. For the money you could have a custom built though , or pick one up used.  Overall I really liked the bow.

Scattergun, ive got one 69 lbs @ 28, it is one of the most shootable bows ive owned. I found mine to be very smooth, pointable and consistant. IMHO its top of the line in looks and performance .

Have you got to shoot one yet? Anything specific you want to know about it?

I shoot a Bear Patriot 55# @ 28, I love the bow.I have other bows, none new but the patriot shoots great for me.I had a problem getting it quiet without silencers but a skinny string from SBD took care of that.A little tuning and if it misses the mark its my fault!!!!!

Scattergun, with the mass weight of the bow, hand shock is null and void, as far as being quiet, it makes no more noise than any other radical R/D bow ive owned or shot. Being a Hill shooter, this is the first serious R/D bow ive owned in a number of years and im not disappointed in the least. I got lucky, and got mine in a trade, not sure of what i was getting, but now i find myself looking for a possible NO. 2.

Bear`s website really leaves alot to be desired..It give almost no info,,spec related on the Patriot..no idea what it weighs,,suggested brace height range etc..

I too had a hard time finding information on bow as I bought my bow used but mine seems to like a brace height of 6 inch measured from back edge of shelf for convenience sake, puts me well within specs when measured from deepest part of grip. specs I found brace height6.25-7.125.(per ********* archery site)

I have one, as well as three of Byron's bows. IMHO the bear is nowhere near as good as the ones Byron made for me.  If I get another one I will call his sone Zach and have a Z58 made to specs'

As was already said, no noisier than other radical R/D bows and I couldn't feel handshock
