Also "Calgarychef", understand about using footings if ya are shooting around rocks alot and understand the need for that group of shooters.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways-BOW in one hand-ARROWS in the other-Body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming-WOO HOO! WHAT A RIDE!

No good reason to cut up good shafts if you can get alu stock from a supply house.
McMaster Carr carries alu tube in most sizes. PN:89965K45 should fit Cx shafts and is onlt $12 for a 6' length.  They even have steel tube if you want a heavier footing.

If you have a local supply shop they can most likely order about any ID/OD tube you need if you ask them.

Edit:  Forgot to mention, 3R already has machined footings that will fit most any shaft.  No need to cut up their expensive aluminum.

That may be the next gimmick for a carbon arrow manufacturer, a footed carbon shaft.  Has anybody emailed this suggestion to any of the major arrow manufacturers?

Charlie's list of footing sizes does not have a size for the Beeman Ics 500s, any one know what size they take.  I plan on ordering some soon and want to foot some for roving.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Joe, can you tell me what the "double footing" is?

The double footing is a additional piece of tubing about ½ " long that fits over the 2"main footing .The purpose i is to strengthen or double up at the weak spot right above the point (field point or broadhead). Some don't think it is necessary, as some don't want a collar on the knock end.   Both are included in the kit to make it versatile.

Using the  TuffHead that has a 23/64 " ferrule and a 11/32 adapter the single footing will actually fit  around the arrow below the lip  of the ferrule making a extremely strong joint. The ferrule actually acts as a double footing. A little confusing but this link may clear it up

I have only been carrying this kit for a short while, as it is new on the market. I am using it on my own arrows and love it. I have only had good feed back from customers about it.
