Does anyone know a source for cordavan leather to make  the stalls for a glove?  I just need enough to make a glove.

Shell cordovan is a very rare leather. It only comes form a small area of a horse hide and takes 6 months to process.Couple this with the fact that only one or two tanneries in the country know how or want to jump through the hoops to make it,it is spoken for before it is produced.

If you want to own a glove with cordovan stalls, get one from Bateman, find a substitute or do without.Don't expect anyone to divulge their source of it.

Might want to email Brettun village, they get some every now and then. A while back they had some that was not classed "Cordovan" but was horsehide and tanned in the same manner, just was'nt off the rump.

Like Jim said, there is very little produced and that is already spoken for.

I got some from Brettun Village also. I think the last time I looked they were out of stock though.
