Well I haven't hunted bunnies yet(with a bow), but today I was mowing lawns and I found bunny nest's with up to 4 little ones. I saw about 20 plus nest. There is gonna be a ton of bunnies to take aim at in SJ.

How is it in your area?

I've seen bunches of baby bunnies this spring. Just got a 10 week old beagle pup just two weeks ago. Hope they make it through the summer!

We had some activity, but with these deluge rains, they'll either drown out or like wild turkey pullets, get sick and die---happens every wet spring... not all...just some.

Or maybe that was just some old farmers tale I learned...???

Kenneth did you say Verwey, Verwey. I will be down in the fall, if I can find my traveling papers for the United Soviet Socialist Republic of New Jersey.

Be careful the Jersey KGB, has PETA and Animal ACLU monitoring this site for Jersey no goods like you and me. Don't forget in our state we have to try to retreat before we shoot, even at a rabbit.

use to have a great spot for bunnies near me til the state destroyed the habitat.

Roadkill

I got 24 off one ranch last year.  We have had no snow or rain this year so dry conditions and wildfires will determine how we fare new season

I turkey hunted a lot in south jersey this year and don't remember seeing a single bunny.  Good luck.  Too many foxes in my area.

Have fun this fall with the bunnys. Rabbits are one of my favorite game animals to chases with a bow. If you haven't hunted rabbits with a bow it's a must do IMO.

Frenchymanny

No much bunnies here, way too many yotes, wolves and fishers

Lots here too.  Of course foxes are "legal" to shoot now and me and the boys hate a fox.
