Quick rundown about my morning. I been really crazy busy lately with life in general, but decided this morning I had earned a few hours of quiet time in the woods. I had a stand on the back of an oxbow lake that I figured the hogs might be working around. I was in my stand by 0545 and was just enjoying watching the woods wake up when I saw a hog headed my way. As the hog came by at fifteen yards I saw that it was a large boar and declined to shoot him, as I was looking for something good to eat and he wouldn't have been. I sat another half hour or so and this sow and a few others came rooting their way by me. I took the fifteen yard quartering away shot and it was on the money. She was down in fifty yards. I gave thanks to my maker for such a great morning. It's amazing how a morning like this can recharge me for the day to day grind. I used my old faithful Pronghorn 51# @ 27"which I recently skinned with some diamondback skins from Mike Yancey and a gold tip shaft with an original WW 225 gr. head up front. Thanks to Wary Buck for the inspiration for the skins on the pronghorn. I think they gave me some "mojo" this morning. Sorry for the blood. I had nothing handy to clean up with. God Bless.

No need to apologize for the blood, my man.  That's what happens when you poke things with pointy objects.  Congrats on a fine hog.

For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.
