hello all,could someone give me some insight on which one to choose hoyt buffalo or bear ausable.

That entirely up to you. What do you like recurves or longbows?? Or is this your first bow? My advise is to shoot both if possible and see which one you like

My son has a buffalo (50#) with a SBD string and loves it.

Since I'm a recurve man, if it was me, I'd choose the Buffalo over the Ausable.

Have Not shot the Hoyt but the Bear shoots great my first R/D.

I would say shoot em both if possible, if not i would go with the BUFF because you could get multiple sets of limbs for it if you ever want to change weight. JMO and i like LB better

Buy them both then you will both a longbow and recurve :D
Really you can't honestly compare these two bows against one another two totaly seperate animals. It's like apples v.s oranges
