I should have mentioned too.  For some reason it is not in the whitetail/history tradition- but boning them and carrying it out is just as easy. . .  have done that too when I am not in midwest farm land.  

More than 400 yd removal and the knife and turkey vest comes out.  Pretty much can get all the meat easily in one trip.

Many states require that the deer be brought out whole.

Six weeks after donating a kidney to my wife i shot an 8 pt. I used the cart from sportsman guide with no trouble at all. My friend had to lift the deer into my truck though. I plan on always having it with me from now on. I couldn't believe how much easier it was to get the deer out of the woods.

If the area your hunting in is very un-even, or rocky, I would suggest one that has slanted wheels and "cradles" the load. You want to keep the weight as low and centered as possible. The area I hunt is very rocky and the cart I have has a flat platform...totally useless, no matter how well the deer is tied down, it's constantly rolling and the cart is always tipping. It's actually easier just to drag the critter !
