I bought a grayling jig today to try and learn how to fletch some arrows.  It has 3 little lines and 3 big lines for cock feather placement, and I figured that out. But as far as offset goes, there are a bunch of lines by the nock end of the magnet, and a bunch of little lines by the point end of the magnet. I can not seem to get them to offset much without getting my feather off of the shaft? I dont know what im doing wrong. I have the shafts i picked up fromt he shot right next to me for a reference, and no matter what, it seems like one edge of the feather does not want to make contact with the shaft.

does anyone have a video or a pictorial stashed away you can post for me.  Thank you for any and all help offered.

Did you try a dry run adjusting the two nobs until the feather contacts the shaft the whole length?

Are you using a straight clamp, or is it left or right helical?
