I enjoy shooting ....but consider it practice to HUNT!

Honestly, I think there is a "Hunter Shooter", probably one of the best ones I know of is Sam Koger. Sam is absolute death one animals when he draws on them. If you don't believe it just get him to show you his kills scrapbook.

Thats the kind of shooter I want to be. The only way one becomes that kind of shooter is shooting at live animals. Targets may help some but its not the same in my opinion.

Shooter/Hunter, Stump Hunt and 3D shoots to practice for hunting with same equipment used for hunting, J  

And of course, those of us who hunt for gear!

75% Shooter 25% Hunter. I don't get to hunt nearly as much as I would like.

I am strictly a hunter who practices on a target.I started this wondering how many only target /comp archery shoot, and do not hunt at all. I have noticed there are a few.

Yes, ultimately I am a hunter, and that is what it is all about for me,

BUT

I'm still a shooter first & a hunter second, because I wouldn't hunt if I didn't think my shooting was good enough for it.
