I've tried many  different approaches to quiet this bow. Rubber strips between the limbs and limb pads, limbsavers on the limbs, bowhush and hush puppies on the string,etc. No matter what I do it seems loud. I successfully harvested a buck last fall and he didn't jump the string but I feel it could be quieter. Any suggestions?

I recently sold a 45 @ 28 Hoyt Dorado and I had it whisper quiet with BoJacs from Three Rivers.

Mine as well. Super shooting bow that is absolutely quiet.

Far from an expert with this particular type of bow so can't answer all your questions.

For my Dorado the biggest thing for noise was making sure the brace was at MINIMUM...8".  I settled around 8 3/8".  That alone eliminated about 80% of the excessive noise I felt I had.  After that, using a quality string is a must.  

Don't use rubber pads between the riser and the limbs, instead, use that thin camo fleecy material.  It's thinner, and gives enough to caress any voids, not just move them up.

Thanks for the replies. I have the brace height at 8" and have excellent flight from both bare shafts and fletched shafts. I noticed that the bow is quieter when I have fewer arrows in the quiver. Forgot to mention I had a bow quiver. I will try the fleece material between the limbs and limb pockets. Thank you.

To get an idea where there may be excessive noise, grab the bow by the riser and hit various parts of the limbs/riser with your hand.  You'll easily be able to pick up any vibration or noise.  I check all my bows like this.  Could be something simple like the quiver or the spring in a plunger rest.

450+ skinny FF string by Oliver Stacy and re-tune for brace ht without any sliencers yet. I bet right there you have a very quiet bow. 450+ is a very quiet string.

I'm using an SBD 8 strand string which is much quieter than the stock string. Overall the bow is quieter than before.

Contact Pierre, you will be amazed at what his string will do for a bow, both speed and silencing them!!!!
