Here's one - I was steam bending my first hickory stave, and only had one cull, and in my hast to get the 2nd limb bent, quickly clamped it down. Two days later my son goes, "dad, think somethings wrong" and realized I clamped 2nd limb in upside down - making a beautiful "S" shaped bow!  One for the stupid file! Just have to laugh and move on...

I was working on a straight limbed long bow a while back and glued the limb tips on the wrong side of the bow....yes, both of them....needless to say, it came out a little shorter and a little heavier than intended but is still a great shooter! That is what I get to be-bopping along to great music while grinding on wood.

Gone to the woods hunting and realized I left my quiver back at the truck...twice.

I need to do something stupid daily to reset the brain to recognize when intelligent thought creeps in.

My daddy told me many times, "Danny, if you are going to be stupid, you better be tough."

Reminds me of the time I tried to jump over a picket fence. Landed on top of a 1" X 4" picket and the  went to get 36 stitches in my hip.

Or the time I was actually using a bow stringer when the top cup came off the tip. Three stitches over my right eye from that one.

Or the time I placed a pencil over my ear with the point facing to the rear. I bent over and the pencil began to fall off my ear. I grabbed for it, hit the eraser and promptly jammed the point of the pencil in my face.

Or the time that, well you get the point.....If you are gonna be stupid, you better be tough.

Why....I INVENTED STOOPID!  

Me shoot out of tree stand in yard.  Me go for a loose grip.  Me drop new WHIP.  Whip goes bangedy bang bang to the ground via the edge of the gutters on the garage.  I had her for about a week at that point and I apologized profusely to her.

Oops   :eek:  did I say that out loud??

Be PROUD of your stoopid, uh, stupedd, just plain dumbocity.  Stupid is the mother of invention, or at least the red-headed step child of not ever wantin' to do THAT again!!

If it weren't for stupid, I'd just be dumb and I shore wouldn't get much learnin'.
Hello.  My name is TomBow.  And I'm stupid.  Wait a second, watch THIS!

I cut my string with a broadhead while sitting in a treestand once.  I couldn't take my eyes off the buck working his way to me long enough to pay attention to what I was doing.  Surprised the heck outta the buck and made my day, lemme tell ya!    

Years ago I was standing next to a guy at an archery shop. We were both kinda leaning against the glass counter/showcase. He was spinning his arrow on his thumb finger nail and first finger, like he was checking it to see if it was straight. ( you know how we all do that), anyway, he's a spinning, we all are talking with the owner. The owner is telling us a story and describes something that happened in the story that sounded kinda exciting. The fella next to me spinning the arrow grabs the arrow by the feathers and pulls it full length down through and across the palm of his hand. It had a 3 blade wasp on the end and opened up his hand like something I had never seen before. Blood everywhere. I never forgot that and am real careful when spinning my arrows.

Ever do something Stupid?....Not since the last time!  

everyday-  I went out fishing today in the fog with no compass spent an hour and a half wondering where i was,  20 mile long lake 5 mi wide. What an idiot I am.
