Anyone know a good solvent to remove the residue from shafts that had arrow wraps on??

I use Goo Gone.

Acetone(nail polish remover), lighter fluid,alcohol.

91% isopropyl alcohol has always done the trick for me.

If they are aluminum or carbon use Acetone.  Try it on one shaft and see how it works.  Acetone is a great solvent but on certain glues it might smear instead of dissolve.  I've been using it on shafts for many years to clean up fletch-tite from the previous fletch, etc. and it has never let me down.

alcohol, then lighter fluid before fletching.

Acetone with 0000 steel wool works for me.

I'm quessing laquer thinner,Bill.We use it at work if we have to remove caulk on windows(strong stuff).

I just got through cleaning up a couple with Denatured alcohol and a scotch pad... worked Great!

DON'T get acetone on your knocks if you go that route bro.... they will pull a "Wicked witch of the West" routine on you...... "I'm melting!...."

No problem here either, usualy by time the wrap is scraped off I have nicked the nock a half dozen times so I just redo it also.

I use 90% alcohol and wipe it off with a towel.

I have used acetone and lacquer thinner both with excellent results.
