I just received my bow with hickory limbs and riser of paduak and zebrawood.I shot 50 arrows and with a little fine tuning got 6 inch groups at 20 yards.I was amazed to fine virtually no hand shock while shooting a 550 grain arrow.I hope to get good enough to hunt with it this season.Thanks very much Dave!

Thanks Dave for posting the pics,they look great.Just got in from shooting it and the self bow opens up new challenges for me.Shot from my tree stand at 10 yards and have good penetration.Oh,and Dave the first thing when I get back to teaching is to have one those computor kids give me lessons on how to post pics.I know the trad off will be to take him fly fishing,not bad. Dave,how are you? Actually after I better spined my arrows I even got thighter groups.Anyway I'm having fun shooting it.I think the bow exchange worked out good ,hopefully more will participate in the next exchange.How do you feel about it?I would be willing to head it up for the spring if other want me to.Maybe start the topic in December.Frank

Great idea, Frank.  I got a beautiful bow from Buck Buckley and was out hunting with it today.  It is my first laminated longbow.  It is so nice...  I will participate again if it happens.  Hopefully get paired for a takedown or a Hill style bow.  Count me in.  It is a blast.

Sounds great! I kept all records of the exchange so we can rearrange members around,both new and former participants.I'll bring it up in december and see what happens.
