I have a copy of the magazine, and I am not reading into it that the Bob Lee is the fastest.  The draw weights on all the bows tested vary.

Bob Lee is a fine bow.

You're correct, but relative efficiency holding the arrow weight the same is the ticket.

Relative efficiency is how I rank all my bows. I didn't know anyone was doing that. I thought it was sort of "voodoo-engineering" by this non-engineer!

Interesting article. I noticed the fellow is right on top of the chrony.  I've been shooting through mine from about 6-8 feet. I'm going to take a couple steps closer and see if the readings change.

Very nice bow by the way.  It has me thinking.  I know one of the two bows I always wanted when I was a teenager (70's) was a Thunderbird by WIng (and a Super K).  Both were too expensive.

I was surprised to see that article in that magazine.  

Seems like efficiency would be one of the best ways to compare trad bows because of so much variation.  But I suppose arrow weight and poundage in the same bow model can affect efficiency - like efficiency going down as poundage goes up.

I like Blackies Tests way Better ! Too many variables here.

For as popular of a bow as they are.  I've never seen one in NW Montana..??

My buddy just bought a Bob Lee Bow. It came today. It will be my first time seeing one.

I am no engineer but I can tell y'all one thing, I LOVE MY BOB LEE;)

There is a mention of the Bob Lee Ultimate on page 42.

of the bows mentioned in this test, the Bob Lee is NOT the one with the highest comparative efficiency.

check out the table on page 61.

it lists the Palmer with a comparative efficency of 3.2 and the Bob Lee Natural is 3.1.  The Robertson Fatal Styk is 3.1 as well.

The Robertson has got it all along with the efficiency.  I would have been interested to see what Dick's shorter bows would have done too.  Nice to see that article. Congrats to all the bowyers in that one.

My Bob Lee is flat out awesome and so was any Wing I have shot.
