What are the Pro's Con's of having foam cores? Thinking about ordering a zipper and just cant decided what I want.

Best upgrade for the money IMO.  Smoother faster and more consistent limb.

And pair that with a Zipper from Bill Dunn and you can't go wrong!

Totally agree with Jake, a no brainer in my book. I have shot both wood and the Zipper foam cores and for the little extra its worth every penny.

Foam cores have some advantages (consistency & stability) but not all limb designs demonstrate a perceptible benefit from the material - that's where you have to trust the person that designed the limb to lead you straight. When I bought my Zipper, Bill recommended foam cores. That was enough for me and I'm glad I listened. It is a relatively inexpensive upgrade and if you can find a bow that shoots better, buy two!
Do or do not ... there is no "try"

I hear very mixed reviews--nothing bad but maybe not enough difference to tell? Currently leaning against em.

It may depend on who is building, or maybe design................I tried two so far; one thumb level and one thumb down. For now I'm sticking with wood from a bowyer who has been building my bows for years.

I love my foam cored & carbon Zipper ZSR,smooth, fast and quiet.I also have a Shrew Model T with carbon & foam cores and a Shawnee with carbon & foam limbs. All are excellent performing bows.I feel they are worth the money.
