My new Bama just arrived from Nate at BamaBows. This is the 5th Bama in my current collection. Nate just keeps amazing me with his work and design. This bow is AWESOME!

She's an Expedition Hunter model. 62" and 50@28. Cocobolo riser and overlays. 3 lams of Bamboo limb core with brown glass instead of the standard black. The brown glass is really sharp and goes perfect with the Coco. The grip is brown Beaver Tail.

Nate got the grip exactly the way I wanted it and the fit and finish is excellent.

Now about her performance. I already have an Expi in 58" and it's a sweet bow but this 62" version is so smooth drawing I was blown away on the first shot. It almost feels like it has invisible wheels giving it let-off on the last half of the draw! Incredible feel. I don't know how Nate does it.

He cut the shelf closer to center than normal making for a very spine tolerant bow. I shot 3 different spined arrows, carbon and wood, and they all shot right on.

Nate referred to her as a Spit Fire when he 'sighted' her in for me. After shooting her I agree. This bow is really fast, but very stable. Quiet too, all I got with a bare string was a bit of string buzz, which a half pair of Hush Puppys will eliminate.

This is a great bow and I'm as happy as can be with her. Nate got her exactly as I wanted her. I'll be bringing this little 'Spit Fire' to the Whittingham in 2 weeks, can't wait to hit the courses with her!

Thank you Nate for another great bow. Well Done!    :clapper:

Congrats Danny.
Do you have a pic that shows more of the brown glass alongside the Cocobolo?
Thanks.

Dodger, I'll try and get one tomorrow, but the brown glass comes out very dark in pics. It's the first bow I've had with the brown glass and I like it. Nate said he liked it so much he's planning to use it in the next bow he builds for himself. It's only the second bow he's used it in.

I know where the last picture was taken, and I am insulted that I was't invited, by the way, beautiful bow.

Thanks Danny. Whenever the light is right and it's convenient for you.

Looks like an awesome bow. Lots of reflex/deflex in the limbs. Is it still D-shape whem strung (cord touching the limbs everywhere)?  That must be a fast, stable and sweet shooter! Congrats!
It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that string! [/i]

Ken, your inbox has been full since KZOO, couldn't get a PM thru. I've been hoping to bump into you at the range.

Danny,

That's another great looking Expi.  This brings my hunter I ordered closer to the top of the list!

I'm also interested in seeing more of the brown glass.  I ordered my hunter with osage riser with coco & osage overlays and brown glass.

Congrats on a great looking bow!

There is a shoot tomorrow, down at New Egypt, Garden state is putting it on. I know it's late but figured I'd mention it, also I fixed the incoming mail, sorry about the problem.

Ken, gotta work. My only day off this week is Tuesday. I've been helping cover for a sick co-worker who is out for a bit. But I'll be going to the Whittingham.

I tried to get better pics of the brown glass, but it comes out looking black in them. It's a deep, kind of Burgundy tinged brown. It's nice looking stuff, very classy.

No problem, Danny. Your verbal description is pretty good and I think I'll jump on the bandwagon as well, unless Nate has already glued mine up.
Thanks.
