Heres a tough question . If you had to pick between one of Ron La clair's Shrew bows , or one of South Cox's custom creations . which would you pick ? Couldn't go too far wrong with either . Right ? Just wanted some feedback .

BWD

I'd pick a shrew classic hunter, because that's the style bow I like. You would be well bowed either way.

Have you shot either one of them? South's bows are hard to beat and the wait time isn't nearly as long. I would buy both of them.  That way you won't be disappointed!

I've heard nothing but praise for Shrew Bows and Stalker bows, whichever style you prefer can't go wrong with either.

What do you shoot now, recurve or longbow?

this question really cant be fairly anwsered you must shoot both an decide for your self.

Both appear to be popular although I've never seen either one in person.  I am curious these days about South Cox's recurves though myself.  The post with the BW Ebony Striker really got my attention!

I would pick the one that felt best in my hand.  Everyone has a different opinion.  Some are recurve fans and like a heavier riser and meatier handle.  Some like a thinner, lighter feel in their hand.  I shoot both styles well, but have come to prefer the smaller handles of longbows.  It is a decision only you can make.

Those are pretty different animals-- you need to try them.

Kind'a like apples and oranges, two totally different bows. I would do a Stalker Static limb recurve.......but that's what I like! I have shot a few Shrews and they do perform well!!

Of the two, I have only shot Shrews, but a Shrew is a wonderful bow. Maineac is correct, try both if you can and buy the one that fits and feels the best.
