Gidday guys i have two areas i want to keep a eye on  they are about an hour apart and between work family its hard to get out. So i was thinking about maybe buying a trail camera. I do have a question though is there any trail camera that lets you view the photos from your computer without and to pull the SD card out,So lets say i just got home from work its dark i could jump on the computer and find out what has moved through the area. I am NOT a techie im handycapped at this stuff    . If there is a trail camera that can do this can you list its name and brand please.

There is one that does that. I'll have to search for it again. It works on the cellular service, so if there is no service it wont work. There was also a monthly charge.

Just found it. The name is smart scouter. Just do a google search and you should be able to find it.

You can view some of them from your cell phone also.

The smart scouter will send you a text if you want every time it takes a picture

O cool cheers will have a look at them what if there is no cell service?

Is there any other 1 that works the same way but doesn't need cell service

I don't know a lot about them but I think they are all based on cell connection and that's the hitch.

I can tell you though,most of the SD card cameras are way cheaper and hold hundreds or even thousands of pictures and on good ones,batteries can last up to 6 months.Besides that,getting out in the country and making the rounds of the cameras is pretty enjoyable,itself.

Just looked at the smart scouter ummm wow price tag is huge might just buy a cheap one and make time to check the sd cards in them thanks a bunch guys

Look at the DLC Covert Special OPS, another that sends them to cell or email..

I don't have cell service in most of my hunting spots, so I don't have one.  

I do have several DLC Covert cams.  Here is a pic from the Reveal.

I dunno ......... to my way of thinking a trail camera that notifies you every time it takes a pic kinda crosses the line into the world of cyberhunting ....... I prefer bowhunting myself  ........ JMHO

I hunt about 600 miles from where I live. Checking the cameras on a regular basis is out of the question. That is why I looked into them. They are pricey, which is why I haven't purchased any yet.

Hey Rick I was on the same lines as you for a looonnnggg time. Now you can get electronic callers for hunting I won't be surprised if one day I see a hunter with a subwoffer and two amps wired to his shoulders to increase the volume. Then he can plug in his iPod and jam to music on the way to his hunting area    . But trail cameras do have some merits though can anyone suggest a good brand of trail camera thats not to expensive? I have several, my choices for good pics, big card capacity, ease of operation, small, video option, long battery life and cheep to operate are the bushnel 8 mp trophy w/o the viewer screen (you can't see it in the field and its an extra expense) and the stealth cam delta or unit
