Cade, Emmie Mae, and I were invited to go spend the day, this past Friday, at Trad Ganger Tim Golder's place in the Pennsylvania mountains.

We arrives at this little piece of heaven about 10:00am. After greeting each other and everyone meeting my little Mae-Mae, we gathered our gear and were headed out back to do some stumpin'.

These 2 were getting along "famously" in about 5 minutes!
•

BTW... my Mae-Mae is a year older and is the little one in the pic!

Big Ed helping out his daughter Leah...
•

They were like best friends, inseparably all day...
•

Big Ed...

Tim...
•

Emmie Mae...
•

The "chicks"...
•

We were having a blast and what a piece of property!
•

More later....I know Tim took a bunch of pix as well so hopefully he'll get them up soon now that I have this started...

Big Ed is always quick out to help...
•

Cade watching his sister...
•

My baby...
•

Mae-Mae trying to get one through the hole in the base of the pine tree...
•

Leah doing the same...
•

I'd shot and hit right above the hole, my arrow fell right in front of the hole we were trying to shoot through.  Ed was next to shoot and as he was preparing to shoot heard him start mumbling something to Tim. I had a feeling I knew what he was about to try to do....and then he did just that...shot my arrow right in half with a shot right on the money...dang-it!  How do you get mad at someone that makes a perfect shot?!

Our leader Tim, one heck of a fine gentleman!

more soon....

We had a blast. A fine time with even finer friends. Leah cannot stop talking about her new best friend.

Tim hooked a couple on his fly rod and let the girls reel them in...
•
•
•
•

Then Leah caught a nice Perch all by herself!
•

The water was still cold, so the fishing was slow.  The girls decided to stay inside and play. So us boys did some more shooting around the yard.

After shooting a bit...we were taking shots at something about 30yds. away and there lay Tim's arrow sideways right by the leaf we were shooting....

Ed was up again and he made the best shot of the day....unfortunately it was Tim's arrow that was the target....he'd done it again!!!!!      :scared:    :notworthy:

Looks like a grand time once again.  thanks for sharing!
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Great pics Curt but , I will have to agree with Greg. It's always a blessing when the daughter takes after her mom . LOL

I just can't imagine a better way to spend a beautiful Easter weekend then with friends.  The weather was incredible for the first week in April and most of Friday was spent roaming the woods with the kids and praying a few fish would bite just enough to keep them interesed.

My kids are on their way to being young adults so it brought back some great memories having Ed's daughter Leah, Mae Mae and Cade along for the walk around a familiar loop I take folks on the first time they visit the property.  The property is incredibly diverse and I look forward to showing you guys the rest of the property another time.

I took some real nice photos of the kids and even a few of Big Ed and Curt.  Hope you enjoy them.

Tim

Cade really fell in love with the hemlock woods and I must admit it's also one of my favorite spots on the property.  It boarders a huge swamp that has beaver ponds strewn about here and there.  It's kind of creepy but kind of cool all at the same time.  Cade and I found this beaver den that just had the makings of a perfect picture!

We shot a little and walked alot.  The girls chattered the whole way, only stopping long enough to shoot....then they were off again!
