When using a 135gr.broadhead do you use a 125gr. fieldpoint or a 145gr. fieldpoint?This is for wood arrows.

If it were me,I would get 125's and put 10 grs of lead shot up inside the ferrule tip.#4 shot is 2 grs per pellet.You can even tamp them in with a steel punch.10 grs of lead packed in doesn't take up much room but if you needed to,you can cut a small amount off your taper.

Broadheads don't always weigh what they are advertised so I like to weigh them first.

Broadheads get lighter as they age.   :readit:
I can't shoot well enough to see a ten grain difference in head weight.

I would use a 125 grain FP and the 135 grain BH. Sharpening the BH will even them out.

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

When the Bear Razorheads came out we practiced with them without the bleeder blades and put them back in when we hunted. They added 10 grains to the weight of the head and the difference was not noticeable.
