Rare find Don Brown Woodsman longbow (now with pics)

Chuck thats right the limbs have 5 lams 3 bamboo and 2 osage. mahantango sorry his record is 507fbs not 599fps shot with a longbow. and Ray thats the guy Don was big in the 70's. Google Don Brown archery and you will find his accomblishments. Don is considered a legend in the archery world.

Beautifully crafted bow but the tillering job does not match the bows overall appearance, very whip tillered with hinges in both limbs.

If you shoot it much in it's present condition a limb failure is a very real possibility.

My neighbors buddy bought one at a garage sale a few years back for $10 I tried buying it off him. No luck.

I thought the same thing about the look of the tiller, but am no expert. How would you fix that in a bow like this, or would it be best to hang it up and keep it for its intrinsic values.

Fling that is a great find, a real piece of archery hisory. Do you have drawn pic so we can see if the braced tiller holds through the draw. They can be deceiving
