Possum Head

Yup, you planted a seed and good for you! He looks like one that in a few years would anchor one of those 80-90 lb. Hill bows at his ear lobe.

That is one of the best espressions I've seen at full draw!

My little one has been asking me to string his bow I made him so he can shoot in the yard. Well I kept having an excuse not to do it for this and that reason because I have to supervise,get his arrows and guide him ect. ect. Well today I did it because I had promised him the night before. And after I got it done and was working with him I had a wave of guilt and shame come over me as to why those other things were so much more important then this. I realized how easy it is to take for granted what we have and forget the sheer joy it is to have a child around who loves and wants to be with you. Here is the tough guy and his bow today...

Thanks for reminding me. It's easy to forget. I'm going to make sure I do something with my daughter after work today.

Wow.
Ya done good.
You have expressed so well such an important concept, and I am so glad that you and your son could share so special a time. That account was well written, to the point that I was wistful that I have no children. It does my heart a world of good to see posts like this. The joy I have known behind a bow should be made available to those coming up behind us.

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

I don't think there is a father around that can deny being in the same position as you one time or the other! The good thing is that you held good on your promise and look how good it turned out!
