I just traded for a Northern Mist Whisper ( it'll be here tomorrow) and have a question about the brace height. I did a search here and see that the recommended BH is 7 - 7 1/2" but where are you guys measuring it from? Having never owned a reverse handle bow I don't know if its from string to limb, deepest part of grip or what? Thanks
Do not follow where the path may lead.  Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail.

Fred, I brace my NM Classics & Sheltons at 6-6.5". The Whisper should work there too, shouldnt have to go over 7" for sure.

Best bet would be to Steve a call, he'd be glad to tell ya everything ya want to know....and then some.

You got a fine bow there!

Fred I braced mine around 7 and it shot good above that as usual let the bow do the talking lol

Very forgiving of brace imo good luck with it

I send Steve an email about the BH and he recommended 7". However I forgot to ask him where that was measured to from the string.

Okay I just got another email from Steve Turay and he wrote...."The whisper should be braced at 7-71/2''. This may seem a little high but there is no handle to measure from. I measure them from the heel of the grip."

Guess that answers that.

I brace mine between 6.5 and 7 on the handle just below the arrow rest.  You will LOVE this bow.
