Somebody showed me this a few weeks ago when I joined:

Download that. It's a big help in finding a starting point.

I understand the desire for a lighter arrow in 3D shooting but if your 3D shooting is practice for hunting then don't you want to shoot the same arrow? Instinctive archery is about recognizing the trajectory of your arrow until it becomes so routinized that you simply look where you want to shoot and execute a clean release.
With two different arrows you must recognize 2 different flight patterns making all the more difficult. Could be that I'm just too simple minded but I prefer to shoot the same arrow.

This is unless you plan on competing in 3D with hunting as a secondary pursuit vice the other way around.

Simply me pondering. Thanks for letting me ramble!

A 18 strand B50 is kind of a heavy string for 50# bow.A 14 strand B50 is plenty good for a 50# to 60# bow.Is this a newer model Hunter that can accept a FF type string? I shoot a padded loop 8 strand D97 on my Hunter.I shoot a 500 spine with a 145 gr. point,about 430 grs. for a lighter arrow.

If you want to use Trad only's try a 340 cut to 30" with maybe 250gr. up front.
