Hello gang,

today I decided to replace my first SBD 6 strands skinny string. I calculated how may shots I did with it.

As absolute minimum: 25.000, probably more!

What is the damage when looking at the string: a little bit wared in the loops and a few ends of strands coming out of the string. So quite normal. For 10.000 that is, NOT for 25.000!

I thought I heard or "felt" some cracking noise coming from my string, so I decided to replace it today.I feel it is better to spend 20 bucks on a string then to destroy your bow. And it gives you peace of mind...

I putted the string on the bow and again I was amazed about the perfect fit of the loops. If you measure your bow up, Pierre will sure make it tailor fit! I putted it exactly on the perfect values for my bow: brace-height of 7 1/4" and nocking point of 9/16" above shelf.

One year ago I wrote down that the creep on my first SBD string was 1/4 inch. After 100 arrows later it was only 1/8.

My set-up shot like nothing had changed. I even shot one Robin Hood at 12 yards. I hate that, because normally you destroy one good arrow. Luckely, I only destroyed the nock of my woodie.

I left my bow strung and I measured it 6 hours later. As I expected, the creep was only 1/4 of an inch.

Darned! Close to perfect, those SBD strings.....

For those unaware: SBD strings will really make your bows much more silent and faster. That's no fairy tale! Once I bought one I never looked back.

I use SBD 6 and 8 strand strings on my bows and I find just as FD said.

I cannot use those strings unfortunately, my bow is handed down from my grandfather, a 1962-63 Hawkeye by Indian Archery. Someday when I can afford a newer bow (and have taken some game with grandpa's bow!) I will order one of these, as I have heard nothing but good things

i have a 8 strand on my Kanati and I love it.  Pierre is a great string maker, not to mention a great guy!!!

My experience with the SBD six-strand strings is like yours -- they are about perfect. As far as performance is concerned, for my bows it was like I had a new, super fast bow. I even had to bump up in spine because so much more of the bow's power was being transferred to the arrow.
For me, SBD strings are the best of the best.
