I grew up here in NW Montana.  Besides the stories people tell about him, there's the stories the land tells.

I have been waiting 21 years for such a book.

I know this sounds very impatient of me and I am not an author. But it seems whenever we here that a book is very close to being finished, [Paul Schafer book and the Monty Browning book], It's like another year or two and still no book. I don't know about you all but this guy is getting older and older waiting. Not sure who will die first me or the author!    Waiting and waiting and ..................

dragonheart

I look forward to the book also.  Always thought Paul Schafer's equipment setup for hunting was functional and pragmatic.  Anyone know the time frame at this point on the book?
Longbows & Short Shots

Al Kidner

I'd love to hear stories of his African hunts...

Keen as to get a copy when it's done also.

Thank you for passing this info.. I will be buying that for sure.

the problem I see is every year that passes decreases the chance the book will come to being, I'd venture to guess at least half the bowhunters today don't know who Paul Shafer is. as time goes by that percentage increases dramatically..

I agree, Paul Schafer was my idol growing up, and still is really. He died when I was 13, and i will be 34 this year, I'm no writer either but come on the wait is killing me!!!

bowtough

I'd like to play the squeaky wheel again, any news on the Paul Shafer book. I thought it was supposed to be finished this summer. Guess what, summers all but over.

RedShaft

Anyone know the name of the book?
