Just bought some carbon arrows with the inserts already put in and not really sure what grain they are so I want to remove them.

Any ideas on an easy way to get them out without damaging the shaft?

Get a metal rod that just fits inside your arrows and is 3 to 5 inches longer than the arrows. (I found mine at a local hardware store)  Remove the nock, slide the rod into the arrow, and start hitting the rod into a concrete floor or other hard surface.  Don't have your face above the arrow-some inserts come flying right out on the first try...others take several hits.

Better yet, if you know the GPI on those specific shafts just do the math and leave em in.

Were they epoxied in or were they glued in with a heat reversible glue?

I picked them up for a pretty cheap price at a estate sale. might just let them sit for now instead of messing with them.
