Anyone have experience with hummingbird bows. I have a line on a used Kingfisher (about 12 years old)  anyone have experience with them?  A local guy offered to sell me one for $200.  From what I see the sell new for about a grand.  Would this 62" bow support my 30.5" draw?  I'll get some pics this week and post them.  Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Chip

It will be a great bow and should be OK at your draw.  I own and have owned Hummingbirds for a long time and they are some of the top bows being built.  Ben Graham is a perfectionist in his work.  If the bow is in good condition that is a great price.

The Hummingbird Kingfishers are one of the best looking bows made. I like Dye recurves a little better, because of Dales grips. The Longbows are the best shooting longbows I know of. Smoothest on the draw, very consistant acuracy, and the lines on these bow are just plain sexy. Hummingbird design has graceful and smooth curves, and the woods are a joy to look at. Do not see how you can go wrong, and the price is dirt cheap. Thanks, Roy
Maybe it is time to shoot what I have on the rack

Ben's bows are awesome. Smooth, fast and quiet. My favorite recurve.

Jump on it and it will be well worth it. You won't regret it.

$200 is a steal. Ben make a great bow that can compete with anything on the market.

This bow is on my top ten list!
Smooth, fast, perfect grip and as a bonus ...eyecandy     :D

I'm a little concerned with the age of the bow (12).  Still no reliable pics.  Anything I should be looking for?  Cracks, delams...etc?

Tom

Have never seen one of Ben's bows with stress or delams but anything is possible. Have seen some milky spots in the glass which is unsightly but doesn't affect performance. Age is less of a concern compared to how the bow was handled,ie drops, use of stringer, etc.
Get some good pics and make an informed decision. Overall the bows are very good with the Kingfisher being the top shelf-either lb or curve.

Ask the seller if you can have return privilege within a few days.  That way you can check it over yourself.  Be willing to pay shipping both ways.
