Alright guys, some seasons started already, some are about to begin.  Here in NY, we dont kick off til May 1st.  I want to hear all the stories....misses...success....almosts.....set ups....all of it.  I missed all of 2010 because my hand was in a cast, 2011 was a bit of a wash due to domestic problems. So, I'm itchen to get out there this season.  So...in the mean time, I want to hear everything!

I will be in Kansas Monday afternoon for a few days of easters with KSTRAPPER. I have been getting pictures from him showing all the struting birds. Have a sinew backed osage with copperheads, an osage selfbow and a Black Widow recurve loaded and ready to go.
I will keep you posted after the hunt. Then its off to Wyoming the 15th with Roger Fulton to hunt some of my antelope country for Merriums.

I am set up on a sandy road between pines stands in mid-Florida waiting on an Osceola gobbler to show. I have a jake and 2 hens out as my decoy bait. I have had 2 hens in bow range but no legal birds yet. Have three days to hunt with tarponut. Birds are here. Just need one foolhardy enough to take a 700 gr fir arra  :)

Sean,  Glad you have come out of the cave. I was beginning to think you were a Troglodyte.

Glad things are healed up enough all over to be able to get out to the woods again.  I have a bow waiting for you, lets get together!

Having been running past some horse ranches south of my house and getting birds to gobble off the roost.  Had limited permission to be on one ranch last year, but this year, it's unlimited access!  Tomorrow baby...Go Time!

Well, thankfully the Nebraska season started already,to kick things off this year my little girl dropped one in the first hour,of the first day, with her first shot.....oh,and this was her first hunt(insert proud papa moment here). She shoots a recurve well, but opted for her training wheels this time.I didn't argue, she will come fully to the dark side when she is ready,i would rather have a clean kill and happy 12 year old girl than dissapointment. And now i have a totaly hooked hunting partner.

Heading out here in about 35 mins here in Tenn to hopefully take my first turkey with my recurve, got a great set up so if the turkeys have read the script should be a hunt to remember, check back in later. Good luck to everyone
