We had a rainy weekend that kept me out of the river and the trout safe so I decided to build a side quiver for some up-coming 3D shoots so that I didn't have to wear my back-soaking back quiver. I carved some acorns and oak leaves on the decorative piece and used a oak leaf stamp on the strap followed my a dark brown leather stain (still needs some mink oil though and touchup on the lacing holes). Should be a useful piece of gear and I look forward to giving this quiver style a try....Whatcha' think?

Nice work there.  Did you leather wrap a dowel for the rod?

Just because you are passionate about something, doesn't mean you don't suck at it.

That's a really nice style of quiver.  I made one like it a couple years ago and my buddy who is new to trad archery needed a quiver last year when we went to Denton Hill so I let him use it.  Well, he liked it so much that it became his.  I need to get some more leather and make myself another.

Yours is much nicer than mine was.

Thanks! The rod is actually two Easton Alum. shafts that I cut to length, epoxied together side-by-side and wrapped 1/8" leather lacing around. A drop of super glue on the shaft every few wraps keeps things tight if your lacing breaks or slips from your hand.

That's Awesome!  I may need to make one of those guys.  I love my homemade backquiver, but I'm really liking this.  Great work.

Very Nice! Im thinking that would make a great stalking quiver as well as for 3D. Well done.
