Anybody have any good suggestions on some good fair priced packframes?I would like to get one for training and maybe haul my turkey blind around central pa woods.

I like the old Coleman plastic pack frames, very light, but you can really load them up!

Military ALICE pack frames can be had for cheap and I think work well.  You can usually find them for $20-30.

I bought a military ALICE pack frame and I love it, 32.00. I camo'd it up like my handmade ghillie suit and can't wait to use it this season. Probably too much room which will only create a struggle not to bring more than I need.

Just bought an Alice on line for $9.99. Just the frame and straps. Gonna rig my folding chair on one side, my Safari Tuff on the other side and bag in the middle. Thought I would try that before I dug deeper in my pocket for a Waldrop.

I carried one for four years and it never failed. It is pretty comfortable to. Alice packs come in a M,L,XL sizes, and they all fit the same frame. Make sure it has the kidney pad.

The military plywood/canvas frames are an excellent frame for lashing big heavy loads on.
I have packed a lot of elk quarters on these frames and they are very comfortable, quiet and nearly indestructable.
