I have donated a few bows in the past couple of years to the St. Jude's auction...all were finished bows that I happen to have at the time.
This year I want to try something different.  I have a Bocote riser glued up and some pretty veneers to go with it.

My question too you guys is...should I finish it now and maybe take a poll as to what the specs should be, or should I just leave it be till after the auction and let the winner choose?

I am also open to any other ideas.

Here is a photo of the riser block and veneers.  The riser has a red phenolic I-beam and back overlay with red and black accent stripes....

Wow!  I think you might generate more money for the kids if it wasn't finished until after the auction, that way the bidder could get their exact specs.

Wait on the specs. Thanks for your offer. That will be an amazing bow and should bring a great contribution for the kids!

Leave it till after that way you will have more bidders being that the draw and such will fit more people.

Never question a man's choice in bows or the quality of an animal he kills.  He is the only one who has to be satisfied with either of those choices.

I would wait also, and let the new owner personalize it.  The lucky winner is going to have a beautiful bow!

Thank you for your generosity!
